From d4f84f97b2a7cc9c6e1e4f454d21e258982dbd2c Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: scottjehl Date: Fri, 19 Aug 2011 18:04:59 -0400 Subject: [PATCH] For discussion purposes, this is a very simple example of one way we could provide a filtering mechanism for data-based (JSON) server responses. The demo php page responds as html or json depending on whether it's requested via regular http or Ajax. --- docs/pages/index.html | 1 + docs/pages/pages-dynamic-data-example.php | 36 ++++++ docs/pages/pages-dynamic-data.html | 129 ++++++++++++++++++++++ js/jquery.mobile.navigation.js | 9 +- 4 files changed, 174 insertions(+), 1 deletion(-) create mode 100644 docs/pages/pages-dynamic-data-example.php create mode 100644 docs/pages/pages-dynamic-data.html diff --git a/docs/pages/index.html b/docs/pages/index.html index da94a38d..80302f50 100755 --- a/docs/pages/index.html +++ b/docs/pages/index.html @@ -37,6 +37,7 @@

    jQuery Mobile's loadPage method includes a filterResponseText option for filtering the data that is returned from the server after an page is loaded, before it is injected into the DOM. You can use this method to transform the server response in a variety of ways, whether it's replacing image paths, or implementing client-side templating system.

    + +

    To use the filterResponseText option, simply define it as a function that has a single argument representing the raw Ajax response text, and that returns a string (presumably, that same data, modified in some way)

    + +

    +$.mobile.loadPage.defaults.filterResponseText = function( data ){
    +	return data.replace( "e", "EEEOOO" );
    +};
